A few of our recruitment mandates

Presently, none of these positions have been filled but the presentation of candidates has begun.

Sales & Marketing

This is one of the major activities vital to a business and because of this, we play close attention to the candidates who are referred to us or who apply for this type of position. Still last week, we had 99 active candidates in our database in the sales sector.

On the other hand, for the marketing sector, we have been working very hard with other sources for over a year now to identify the best. Today we are pleased to inform you that we have a wide range of these specialists; some also have experience in the textile industry besides being marketing experts.

Each position is important in a business but the Sales & Marketing sector is a key function which often determines the direction and success of a company. You will find below a few examples of sales & marketing candidates which seem to represent what companies often look for.

Sustainable Development

Third meeting of the Textile Industry of Canada's Sustainable Development Working Committee, this committee is now taking shape, outside resources are joining in, activities are being organized. The industry will be called upon shortly to help.

The members decided to use, on a temporary basis, Groupe Textile's website to inform the textile industry of the goals and decisions of this committee; eventually an official and independant website will be used but in the meantime, you will be updated through www.groupetextile.com under our « Newsflash » segment.

There isn't a day where we don't see or hear in the media, about a major activity in sustainable development. People in general take an interest in this trend, ask questions, join in various projects. We believe that the economy in general, that our lives, will be, on a permanent basis, modeled for the better on this phenomena, at least we dare say and hope.

In the weeks to come, a letter will be sent to the whole textile industry to explain the network format we wish to develop to continue our activities across Canada. We will be asking you then to express your interest and we thank you in advance for your answers.

Textile Federation of Canada – 2006 Golf Tournament

Originally, it was the Textile Society, Quebec division who was organizing this tournament. The Textile Federation of Canada took over in 2000. The objective being to raise funds mainly to finance educational projects, 85 golfers « volunteered » to play on the beautiful greens at the Cowansville Golf Club and at the same time, of course, to have fun.

The members of the organizing committee were Mr. Keith Bartlett, president of the Federation, Mr. Robert Bibeau, president of the organizing committee, Mr. René Constantin, Mrs. Jeanne Messier and Mr. Laurent Rhéaume, president of Groupe Textile. Mr. Rhéaume also presented the Groupe Textile trophy to the winners of the tournament, Mr. Bartlett and Mr. Bibeau. Congratulations!

There are a few pictures on our website (click here) and you will also find, in collaboration with Texmail (www.texmail.ca) in their September 25th newsletter, pictures of all the foursomes.

We wish to thank all our sponsors who made this event possible and all those who contributed to this success, it was memorable!
